The S.P.A. sounds like; well a spa or a very boring legal company, but the truth is that it stands for Supernatural Protection Agency, a newly blossomed company fighting its way through the early years of the industrial revelation era Europe (late 1700s- early 1800s). In our world we tend to dismiss the supernatural for things told in stories or seen on the stage of a playhouse, not things that exist in our day to day lives, but that's false. Now you may be asking "if things from fairy tales, horror shows, and ancient legends existed wouldn't we know about it by now?" And that is a perfectly logical thought, but the fact that such a question is asked and dismissed so easily in our world in the first place is thanks to the S.P.A.
I know "Supernatural Protection Agency" sounds like some Ghostbusters service, but they’re not, in fact their entire existence is not to protect humans from the unknown, but to protect the unknown from humans. There are billions and billions or different species on this planet and not all are known to mankind. S.P.A is a company that has plans to be based all over the world, offering shelter to those ‘unknowns’ who need it the most.
So, will you be a member of the newly founded S.P.A, one of the ‘unknowns’ they seek to protect, or will you be against all that they stand for and fight to tear them down?
More information:
This is an alternate-reality, pseudo steampunk story so not everything has to be completely historically accurate, there will also be things that didn’t exactly exist at the time, machines and such, but it will all need to have that same sort of ‘industrial’ feel.

Character form: (you may add or take away from the form as long as Creus or I accept the changes)
Name: Gender: Age: Race: (human, shape shifter… blah blah, you get the picture) Appearance: Personality: History: Position: (with SPA, an ‘unknown’, or against the SPA) Other:
Name: Creus Aurinko Gender: Male Age: 23 Race: Mage Appearance: Creus is on the fair skinned side do to his typical nocturnal schedule however he can get a light honey colored tan should he spend more time out in the sun. He has a rather athletic and well proportioned build, leading slightly more toward the tall and lean side as he reaches almost six feet in height and weighs around one hundred and fifty pounds. Over all he isn't heavily muscled, however his life as a thief and a man on the run has left him with a well defined musculature. Like this rest of his build his face is also well proportioned, oval in shape and narrowing at the jawline. His proportions give him a rather graceful appearance for a mage. He also bares thick, golden blond hair that falls just above the center of his back when left loose however he often keeps it tied back out of his face. One of his most striking features are his eyes. If one where to examine them closely they would see a dark blue rim around his iris and jagged rays of lighter blue around his pupil. He generally tends to wear lighter weight clothes preferring not to be weighed down when a speedy escape is needed. He often dresses in a somewhat noble fashion with stolen clothes as he often goes around impersonating a traveling noble. His usual attire often includes a simple white button down shirt with black pants and black leather boots. Over that he wears a stolen white trench coat with plenty of hidden pockets sown into to stow away stolen valuables.
Personality: Creus is a bit of a loner, he is slow to warm up to others and is often a bit standoffish and distrusting but as he warms up to the people around him his kinder side becomes apparent. He will often quietly lend a hand to someone in need without asking anything or wanting anything in return. In fact he generally does not like to be recognized for his good deeds, after all he is a theif and will often try to put others off sarcastic or blunt comments. This mage is definitely not the type of person to sugar coat things, if someone ask him a question he will tell them exactly what he thinks and sometimes his words can be a bit cruel. This is because he believes the truth is far more helpful then gentle lies no matter how tough it might be. However while he might be bluntly truthful with other people personal stuff he usually contradicts himself when it comes down to his own personal issues, usually choosing to hide from and ignore his own problems when he can. He makes a living as a thief and a con-artist and has quite the silver tongue often trying to talk and lie his way out of dangerous situations often preferring to try and avoid conflict with words rather then action. Along with that he is generally a more intellectual person spending quite a bit of time in his pursuit of knowledge, specifically magic. Cunning is another word that could be used to describe him as he has been thief the majority of his life and had so far avoided capture. Along with all that he had a rather pronounced rebellious streak to him, he's not afraid to question who's in charge and the choices they make. He will do so openly, sometimes directly challenging anyone who holds a superior rank to him but only if he truly believes that the higher ranking person is mistaken and he see's an opportunity to do so. Something that will probably get him into some trouble if he gets involved with the S.P.A. but despite his challenging nature he is loyal once he befriends someone. Despite this he has no desire for power or anything else that might give him extra responsibilities, leading to the fact that he is quite lazy. If he can manipulate or coerce someone to do work for him he most likely will. With all these faults however he does do a few good deeds, one in particular is that often what he steals goes to help others in need.
(A quick warning to all, my characters history is a bit dark. So if you don't like things like that, don't read it. This is the tamer version)
History
At the age of six his family made a deal with a slave trader and old family friend intending to sell the young boy to the black markets and get rid of him for good, as well as make money while they where at it. The slave trader however was far from sane and he had a rather bad history with Creus's father. Thus he crafted another plan one that would enact his revenge against Creus's parents and make himself some money. Instead of buying Creus from his family at a rather hefty price he simply murdered his family in front of him and kidnapped Creus with intention to sell him once his power fully manifested. During this horrible moment of the young mans life, then a young boy Creus too made a critical mistake that would forever change his life. During the initial attack when the slave trader took out both his parents the then, young boy's, older brother tried to defend his two younger siblings. When Creus saw his elder brother who was valiantly trying to defend both him and his younger sibling was about to be struck down he tried to interfere. In a fit of sheer panic he tried to use his power to strike at their attacker however young and untrained he struck his elder brother down, completely missing the slave trader. After this happened both young and terrified Creus attempted to run away dragging his youngest sibling behind him but they where soon caught and his youngest sibling was killed.
For an entire year he was held captive by this madman as they both waited for his power to grow stronger. He spent the entire time locked in the mans dark, damp and musty basement without seeing a single glint of sunlight while the man attempted again and again to force the boy to use his unusual power, often through cruel and even downright torturous methods. Until the boy learned to use his power on command in order to show it off to potential buyers Creus was of no use to the slave trader.
After enduring this torturous confinement for so long things finally began to look up for Creus, first off he finally began to gain some control of his power. It wasn't much at first and the young boy wisely chose to keep it hidden from his captor no matter what pain came his way knowing it would only lead to a life of slavery. During the many hours he spent along he would practice using his magic manipulation to undo the lock on his shackles while he waited for an opportunity to escape. That opportunity lay with his captors addiction to alcohol, once he got his shackles open the first time he didn't have to wait for long. The next time his captor passed out drunk he escaped, the basement, the house and into the forest beyond never again looking back at the place which held him prisoner for so long.
The young boy spent the next few days stumbling through the forest until he finally arrived at a nearby town, exhausted and starving. There he met with a group of street rats, a bunch of orphans led by a slightly older boy who survived by stealing. They took him in with open arms and taught him the life style of the streets. As the years went by with the aid of his powers Creus quickly rose through their ranks to becoming one of the best thieves among them. As he grew older he began to take charge and help look out for the others and he also started leading a double life. He stole good clothes and began attending local schools under a false name, although he didn't have much interest in a lot of the things he learned there he wanted to have other skills and knowledge aside from street smarts and thievery
For a few years all went well until the locals whom grew fed up with the losses began to retaliate. They began to hunt down the orphans one by one either hanging them or executing them on the spot for their crimes. Eventually they hunted all but two of the orphans down Creus and his best friend whom both decided to flee town. On the day that they where preparing to leave a local farmer who had a vendetta against the orphans for stealing from him in the past claimed that they where the leaders and last surviving members of the local thieves. Although both Creus and his friend tried to escape they where surrounded and caught. Later that very day they where both sentenced to execution by hanging without so much as a trial or proof that they where indeed the thieves.
That night Creus managed to escape using the same lock picking spell that allowed him to get free from the shackles years earlier. Upon escaping he immediately went to the jail that supposedly held his friend but upon arrival he realized his friend was gone. He searched briefly for his friend but he did not have the time to hang around as the authorities and locals where both on his tail eventually forcing him to flee town without locating the whereabouts of his best friend. To this day he does not know the fate of his friend but he believes he was either executed that day or escaped on his own. Since that fateful day from over ten years ago he has always kept an eye out for his friend hoping that somehow he was still alive.
Since then Creus has spent most of his time traveling from place to place making a living as a thief. He has never spent too much time in any one location in fear of having to relive the events of his past. Over the years he has picked up various spells and knowledge about magic from people his has met or watched during his travels and studying book. He has mostly learned elemental based and healing spells, however he has learned a few others as well. Of course his favorite is still the lock picking spell that saved his life and earned his freedom not once but twice. As of three years ago Creus was caught in a blizzard near the northern border of the country he was in. While trying to get to safety he stumbled upon a white wolf pup whom was curled against its dead mother and siblings. On a whim he picked it up and brought with him too next town intending to sell it off to someone. However the person he had met in which he intended to sell the pup insisted he should keep it. As some where in some old book apparently white wolves where good luck. At first he wanted nothing to do with the animal but it soon grew on him and he named it Blizzard after the storm he found it in. Later on he shortened its name to Blitz Its now been two years and he would not trade Blitz for the world as the wolf has proven invaluable. He cast of his last name as a child due to what his parents did however he often makes up random ones as he goes ones of his favorites is Aurinko.
Position: Unknown Other: His only friend and constant companion is a white wolf with golden eyes named Blitz, he rarely goes anywhere without him.
[spoiler= A slightly more detailed version of his past that I started writing, currently unfinished.] [i] He was sitting on a small pile of straw in his family home's small and drafty attic listening the familiar sounds of drunken voices and partying below. His parents where social climbers, always hosting parties for the rich in a constant attempt to gain the favor of the powerful. He didn't truly understand why back then but he had always been able to sense that those people where just using his family to have a little fun, occasionally getting violent even. He could hear it in their voices and he could imagine seeing it in their eyes. It was the reason why he didn't mind his isolation as he had always been afraid of them. For a young child his senses had been unusually sharp and his observations had been keen and that was one of the reasons why his family kept him hidden away but it wasn't the main reason. They said he was different, his parents hated him, they hurt him and right in front of him wished that he didn't exist. They claimed he was a bane to their wealth and ostracized him from the family. He didn't understand why they treated him so cruely, why they kept his existence hidden from those around them and kept him locked away. As a child he would often huddle in that dark, decrepit attic and cry as he wondered what he did wrong and pondered what he could do right so that he would be treated like his siblings. He had seen his parents treat his elder brother and younger brother with love, he had seen them comfort them when the fell and worry and fuss when they where sick. He had heard them bragging to other people about how good of children they where but his name never came up, most people didn't even know he existed. He had desperately wanted to be loved like them and because of that often found himself angry to his brothers but unlike his parents they sometimes treated him with kindness. They sometimes forgot that they where supposed to hate him. In those time when they treated him like a normal person he forgot his hatred and confusion and the constant misery that plagued him. For the first six years of his life his siblings had been his only chance to experience a hint of what a normal childhood was like.He had always had mixed feeling about this, he looked forward to it desperately but he also hated the simple fact that he did look forward to it. He hated it because it was the only thing to look forward to besides his daily meal. Until then he lived a life of constant pain, confusion and misery but toward the end of his time with his family he was beginning to understand. He was just starting to figure out that he was different, that he could do things that his siblings could not but by the time he truly realized how different he was it was too late.
He was growing tired of his existence in the attic and he was growing bolder. Even though he knew a painful beating would come his way if he was caught he began sneaking out. He had been growing used to the pain and he was proud that he no longer cried when they hit him, no matter how hard they did it. During those last six months with his family he was finally starting to learn things, he was learning how much his parents hated him but he was also learning just how much of an anomaly he was in his family. He heard his parents say to their close friends whom knew of his existence that he couldn't possibly be their real child, that some sort of demon must have replaced the child his mother gave birth to with that 'thing.' He knew the thing was referring to himself and he had listened fearfully time and again as his parents and their close friends plotted ways to get rid of him. He didn't really understand back then but hearing those words left him feeling cold and distant but at the same time also hopeful. If he was not truly a member of this family then perhaps his real family was still out there some where, maybe even looking for him. Things only grew more confusing from there, as much as his parents hated him even at his young age he would have thought his parents would agree with their friends plans of getting rid of him although he did not understand what getting rid of entailed. Instead they kept bringing up the topic of selling him, having someone break into their home and pretend to steal him so that way no one would look down upon them for selling their own child. To a young, uneducated boy who spent his life living in an attic these words where meaningless and confusing but he had still felt as though they where bad.
The dream surged forward, to the last day he spent with his family. The last day he saw them alive. He had been getting better at sneaking around, now his family rarely caught him and along with his resistance to crying it was something he had grown proud of. The day started out like any other, he would be waiting up in the attic listening to his family's movements below. He had learned to anticipate when they would go into the room they used to hold these private conversations and as always he would sneak in ahead of them and hide behind the loose boards in the wall. He had discovered they had moved by accident and learned that there was just enough space behind them for a small boy to hide. This day was different however, his parents seemed on edge and not long after they met in that room a strange visitor came knocking at the door. He lost sight of them for a little while after that as they both eagerly went to go great this mysterious person but event

hi there! i'm definitely interested. gonna subscribe and lurk for now and go from there!
Alright Stark, I hope you join us!
Name: Orion (Ori) Ellie Walker
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Race: changeling
Appearance: Orion has porcelain fair skin and hardly ever seems to get sunburns, despite the fact that he spends most of his time out in the sun. He has a slender build more akin to a girl’s than a young man’s and his muscle structure is almost cat like, slight and lean from both his Fey bloodline as well as from a life spent running, climbing, and jumping instead of fighting or having to haul around heavy objects to survive. Orion stands at a rather unimpressive height of 5’3” with fair silver-grey looking hair (despite his age) that tumbles down to barely reach his shoulders which he usually keeps messily tied back out of the way. His eyes are a dull grey but his cheerful attitude usually makes them seem much brighter than they truly are. Orion’s sense of style is not really his own, left to his own devices he would wear simply whatever he found comfortable, but in reality he dresses to the standards of both his family and the agency which means at the bare minimum a nice shirt, gentleman’s vest, fitted coat, and so on, but the one thing he has that isn’t ‘standard’ is his weapons, usually a newly developed pistol holstered against his sides in easy reach, a set of lock picks tucked away on the backside of the holster just in case. His other weapons can vary, depending on what the S.P.A scientist have come up with, as well as how much he trusts those said scientists.
A picture for you
prepare yourself, it's long
Most changelings are the children of fairies and pixies who’s parents have replaced a human child with their own, but that has long since died out of favor with the people of the fey, instead they will simply place their child in the care of humans they have befriended in an attempt to give their children a better life, a human life. Ori’s case is similar but his ‘human life’ was born out of desperation on his parent’s part. Orion’s parents were pixies, a race known for their love of humans and usually kind nature. Orion’s parent’s inhabited and helped care for a small forest, the family had been the caretakers for generations upon generations, that is until Ori’s parents time, when the human’s came with axes and a need for lumber to create their own homes. At first the pixies didn’t mind, the forest could spare a few trees for their beloved humans, but then a few turned into hundreds before it turned into the entire forest. Among this horror Ori was born, but he was sickly and weak, unable to draw any life energy from the forest and a newborn pixie that couldn’t link to his own home only had a matter of time before he died. In desperation his parents turned to the humans, despite all they had already done.
Orion was stripped of his power and forced to take on a human form before he was left on the outskirts of the logger’s camp, watching over him until one of the humans found him. The man who found him was actually not one of the workers; instead he was the noble who was running the operation. Any other noble would have simply taken a found baby to an orphanage but this noble did not. He was young and idealistic, which may have been the reason why he picked up the child that night, wrapping it in his own coat, and why he took it home instead of handing it off to someone else, or it could have been a good heart but either way, Orion was accepted into his home, becoming the first child or a young, ambitious lord. He grew up unaware of his heritage but with special ‘gifts’ as his father called them, the ability to see things other couldn’t, to know things other’s didn’t, among other things, but Orion’s father never once berated him for it, or told him it was all fake, most likely not wanting to hurt Orion, but while his father might not say anything other’s weren’t so kind. Other children, his nanny, the house’s staff, off of them scolded, teased, berated him when he’d talk about his ‘gifts’ so eventually he stopped, learning to keep everything to himself, only showing the best, happiest parts of himself.
Orion spent his early years friendless and considered ‘touched’, a polite way of saying insane, but by time his teen years rolled around he had a handle on his ‘gifts’ and figured out how to project the appearance of a perfect young noble, gradually earning friends, but never truly getting close to anyone but his father. As his late teen and young adult years came in the S.P.A came to him. They knew what he was and after years of trying they convinced the young changeling to join their ranks. Orion left his father’s manor on relatively bad terms, his bachelor, and womanizing father refusing to allow his son to leave for some job, saying he could take care of him just fine. Despite the rocky departure however his father still stayed in touch, dragging the young man back home every now and again for some ‘important’ matter or other. Position: S.P.A agent 2nd rank Other: Orion’s abilities are left over from what he was meant to be. He can see things other’s can’t, things even most other non-humans can’t, things he calls ‘spirit trails’, a unique print that each living thing has, like a fingerprint in the air, an ability he can switch on and off at will. His body is also part of his abilities, He is quicker on his feet then a normal human as well as having more stamina and sharper hearing, but his abilities don’t extend past that, leaving him with a body as tough as any other human his size, meaning not very tough at all.
Greetings Stark, welcome to S.P.A. And now transferring Toru lol, prepare for trouble
Name: Toru Gender: Male Age: 26 Race: 3/4 human, 1/4 werewolf Appearance: Toru is tall reaching around 6'3 in height, lean and somewhat lanky he always has had difficulty building muscle despite his werewolf ancestry however he dresses well in an attempt to make up for his lack of muscle tone, which while there is not nearly as well defined as other men. While his clothing and hairstyle is ever changing his olive toned skin and brown hair color usually remain the same. For the most part one wouldn't think werewolf when looking at him, his build just doesn't fit and he lacks any transformation ability what so ever however he does have golden, cat like eyes, slightly pointed canine teeth and slightly harder, sharper nails than the average man. Other than that he is occasionally seen sporting bruises or a bloody noise due to his rather poor habits of irritating other men.

http://forums.petadoptables.com/uploads/monthly_2017_06/Toru2.png.6f95528a84fa072fa578150625a1aa60.png">
Personality: Flamboyant, one of the absolute best words to describe Toru's personality, he will shamelessly hit on and flirt with other guys, whether they want him too or not. Some people may consider him fearless for the simple fact that he will fearlessly attempt to flirt with even the most hardened men, often putting him in rather dangerous situations once he pisses them off but he never seems to learn his lesson, no matter how much blood they might draw. Besides his in ability to learn to leave others alone he is generally always a cheerful and happy guy whom seems to enjoy teasing others but like most werewolves, he does have that monsters lurking in his heart though it rarely rears its head. History: Toru has no recollection of his family however he had been told numerous times as he grew up amongst the hunter who had 'spared' him that due to him being mostly human they allowed him to live and got rid of his more werewolfy family.Whether this is true or not he doesn't know and surprisingly he doesn't seem to care. For first twenty years of his life he lived as a servant to the hunters whom 'sparred' his life, his purpose was to act as a friend and guardian to the families eldest daughter Raiza. Though the rest of the family did not take kindly to his presence, she had always treated him well and allowed him to get away with almost anything making for a relatively easy life. During those twenty years he learned numerous things though it was primarily fighting and protection work, he was also taught basic wound care and often served the roll of the families cook. Everything was relatively peaceful up until the last six years when Raiza's family began to push her more and more to go out hunting with them. At first she was able to refuse, not wishing to kill others like Toru just because they where different however this caused an ever growing rift between Raiza and her family, leaving only Toru to lean on. During this trying time Toru did his best to help his friend however the two eventually came to the realization that if they did not want to kill the innocent, they would have to leave.
Due to Raiza's constant refusal and the constant support Toru offered her, the hunters eventually gave her a choice. Kill Toru and get rid of her one attachment to a semi-supernatural being or leave, Raiza chose the later, something that led her to being disowned and Toru sent off to be executed however neither one where willing to accept Toru's fate and after so many years of lending aid to Raiza she saved his life, breaking him out of the prison he had been banished too knowing full well that it could lead to the deaths of both of them. Thankfully the two where both skilled warriors and managed to escape with their lives, though just barely. This spawned a year long man hunt for the both of them, which they constantly eluded until they finally found safety among the S.P.A., which they have stayed with ever since though they occupy different positions. Raiza chose the life of a warrior, wanting to fight to protect others like Toru and Toru, well he chose a more ambiguous role that usually changes on a weekly bases much to the irritation of his superiors, Position: Ambiguous, Toru tends to flit between aiding various scientists and doctors to cooking or simply acting as an irritating mascot, he is also S.P.A.'s self appointed and largely unwanted fashionista. Other: Toru doesn't have many werewolf traits other than his eyes and a few other minor physical differences. He does however have slightly superior senses, reflexes and strength than that of a normal man though not nearly as much as a normal werewolf might have.
